Wakayama
Agara Sansho Pale
Agara Sansho Pale
The town of Aridegawa's Sansho Peppercorns - this small Wakayama prefecture town's specialty - are used in luxurious excess to brew this unique pale ale. Sansho pepper is one of Japan's most popular spices after wasabi, and it lends a unique flavor and mouthfeel to dishes similar but distinctly separate from the numbing sensation of it's cousin the Chinese Szechuan peppercorn. Has the refreshing and mild herbal aroma of Japanese sansho peppercorn, which hops cannot provide. Soft and round with a gentle and pepper finish.
